1.       Subtract the sum of -370 and and 148  from the product of 138 and -32
2.       A man bought some pencils for Rs 45 and some pens for Rs 90. The next day , he again bought some pencils for Rs 25. Then , he sold all the pencils for Rs 30 and the pens for Rs 135 . What was his net gain or loss ?
3.       Three boxes weight 17 kg , 8kg and 12 kg respectively. A porter carries all the three boxes. What is the total weight carried by the porter ?
4.       Simplify [3
5.       Rohini went to the market with Rs 5000 in cash. Out of this money she purchased one bag, one toy and one frock costing Rs 2132 & 20 paise ,Rs 410 & 6 paise and Rs 548 & 75 paise respectively . How much money is left with her ?

8.       A bus covers 140 km in 2 hours and a trains covers 320 km in 4 hours. Find the ratio of their speeds.
9.       An electric pole casts a shadow of length 40 m at a time when a tree 12 m high casts a shadow of length 16 m . Find the height of the pole.
10.   4.5 g of an alloy of copper and zinc contains 3.5 g of copper . What weight of copper will there be in 18.9 g of the alloy ?
11.   Use a pair of compass and construct the following angles.

12.   The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 3:2:5 and its perimeter is 30 cm . Find the length of the smaller side.
13.   Draw a circle with centre C and radius 3.7 cm .Draw a sector having the angle 1050.
14.   Give example of four objects which are in the shape of a cone, a cuboid, a cylinder and a sphere.
15.   Draw the line of symmetry of rectangle, equilateral triangle and square.
16.   Find the distance covered by the wheel of a car in 600 revolutions. If the diameter of the wheel is 70 cm.
17.   Two plots of land have the same perimeter. One is a square of side 64 m and other is a rectangle of length 70 m . Find the breadth of the rectangular plot. Which plot has the greater area and by how much . Also find the cost of fencing of both  field at Rs 50 per metre.
18.   Construct a frequency distribution table for the following :

    field is 40 m, find its length . Also, find the cost of fencing the field at Rs 50 per metre.
9. Find the perimeter of a rectangle whose area is 600 cm2 and breadth is 25 cm .
